Causes of juvenile arthritis

Polyarthritis involves multiple joints, usually more than 5. In this case, smaller and larger joints like hands, shoulder, and jaw get affected. Oligo articular arthritis involves less than 4 joints. It is more associated with larger joints. Restricted movement, pain and tenderness are some of the symptoms accredited with Oligo articular arthritis. In some cases long lasting fever is also seen in children. When the joints get swelled or stiff, it affects overall body growth. There are many view points as to the cause of juvenile arthritis, but not single proven one available.
